Berkshire Wedding Venues – Tj Shoesmith Magician for Hire

Having worked as a professional magician I have come across many Berkshire wedding venues. Last week I worked at a wonderful location which provides packages for weddings so I thought I would take you through a few of the wonderful places I have been employed as a wedding magician.
Beaumont house has wonderful grounds in the area of old Windsor. Due to its size and facilities it is perfect for conferences, private parties and weddings.  The country house dates back to the fourteenth century and with a capacity of over five hundred it can accommodate even the biggest of events. I have worked as a wedding magician here and I found the service immaculate.

Old Windsor is a great location, beautiful and historical but close enough to London to make travel very practical. With Windsor Castle only a few miles away this is a great place for family and friends to visit.
The Coppid Beach hotel near Bracknell is another venue where I have worked as a wedding magician. They have a number of packages as well as providing a bespoke wedding service. The hotel has a fresh modern feel and is able to accommodate any budget.
Most recently I worked at Sanctum on the Green a beautiful hotel and function facility in Cookham Dean, Berkshire. I was asked to perform close up magic for a fortieth birthday party but while reading the literature realised they hosted weddings as well. With nine bedrooms and a marquee which holds one hundred and twenty people this is a perfect venue for the average sized wedding.
Cookham Dean is very picturesque and the hotel itself has a lovely feel to it. Modernised throughout it still captures the rustic feel of an old country residence. With great rooms and outside seating areas it has positive appeal all year round.
Having worked as a wedding magician for many years I have seen the best and the worst. Choosing the right venue is very important and can make or break that special day. These are three venues which I think provide excellent service.

Make Your Party Memorable With a Close Up Magician

Many people today appreciate a little show of magic in their parties and thus close up magician are a lot in demand and they are also available in a lot of choices readily available for every person and for each and every sort of party.
A good competition act should be original in some way; it should also play to the audience that is watching. In most cases this will be an audience of magicians and in my opinion this should be recognised. Some of the best competition acts have taken standard tricks and changed them in a way that is most entertaining to magicians and those knowledgeable about magic.
In fact many a close up magician has failed to make their mark because they performed genuine close up magic in these situations. Good close up magic can look very small and insignificant when performed in a large room with many people watching even if you have the luxury of a big screen.
If I were to give advice to the aspiring competition winner I would say play to the room. Make the tricks big enough to work without the screen. Keep the props off the table top and try and get them above waist height.
If it bothers you that it is not close up magic then you are not playing the game. The game is to win!

A Brief Introduction To Describe A Close Up Magicians and Competitions

Having won a couple of competitions performing as a  I thought it might be useful to put down some of my views on magic and awards.

What is most striking about most competitions of this kind is they rarely emulate the environment in which a close up magicians london works. For example a wedding magician will normally perform for small groups of people at one time. Moving around a reception or working through the wedding breakfast. The same can be said of most corporate events and private parties.

The magic competition on the other hand is very different. Most competitions are performed in front of a large group of magicians not unlike a theatre show. The close up magicians london may work behind a table and if they are lucky there may be a camera crew delivering a live feed to a screen so audience members can watch the magic on the table top from the back of the room. There is much discussion amongst magicians as to the relevance of such competitions to work in the real world. I think it is safe to say that a good competition act will not necessarily cut it in the real world of close up magic.

How to plan Corporate Christmas Party Ideas in London.

Most companies feel it is appropriate to hold a Christmas function of some kind as a thank you for the hard work and commitment of its staff. The standard office party usually consists of staying after work with bottles of wine brought in from the local off licence. The music being provided by a boom blaster found in a dusty cupboard.
Of course some functions are far more elaborate costing thousands of pounds and as a Christmas party magician I have attended hundreds. I have seen some very interesting party ideas and thought I would share a few with you.

Many forms of entertainment can be brought into the office if you have decided not to spend money on an external location. Caricaturists, jugglers, comedians and magicians all work well in an informal environment.
If you have decided not to book a function room then spicing up the event with some form of entertainment can make a real difference. Although your staff will look after themselves giving them something to remember will improve moral and get them talking when they return to work.
As a Christmas party magician I know the impact good entertainment has on an event. Choosing the right entertainment for your staff is vital but if you get it right it will change the mood for the better.
Christmas parties are always positive and you want your entertainment to reflect this. Choosing something with the feel good factor is probably the best way to go. In my experience comedy is probably the best route. So which ever type of entertainment you choose I would recommend that the performer is fun or funny.
If your event is in a function room or hotel then entertainment can still play a vital role. People will expect a disco or band at the end of the evening but they may not expect a Christmas party magician, caricaturist or comedian.
If you do employ entertainment at a large event do make sure that you give them the best possible chance by setting the right conditions for them to work. Discuss the format of the evening with the artist or management they will always be happy to help.

Magician London: the Reason Behind the Success of Most Parties

The Magic Circle has many London table magicians amongst its members. The institution is very careful about those it allows to join and on most evenings only members are allowed to enter the building.
Many London table magician  ask to join and are only admitted through rigorous examination. If you apply to the club you will be interviewed by a senior member before performing at one of the societies evenings.

Although London wedding magician make up much of the membership anybody can join and there are magicians from all over the world. Membership is in some ways similar to a kite mark and poor performance reflects badly on the Circle and its standing, so examination is taken very seriously.
You could describe the performance as an exam but it is really a demonstration of the person’s skill and performance ability. A number of members of the inner magic circle will assess the presentation and decide if it comes up to the required standard.
Once you have joined you start as a member and then are elevated to Associate of the Inner Magic Circle through a further examination.
As the society meets in the capital there are many London table magicians at the weekly meetings. However those from abroad do make the effort to attend when they can. The meetings are taken up with lectures and workshops as well as performance evenings. There is also the AGM and competitions.
So if you are a London table magician or a UK magician or even international there is a place for you at the HQ in Euston.
It has been around for over one hundred years and due to lottery money and donations has a wonderful home in inner London. It has a state of the art theatre, bar and meeting rooms which have been wonderfully decorated.
There is also memorabilia throughout the building, posters and paintings. You can come and see it during the week if you book a ticket to one of the shows. The museum holds some of the world’s most interesting artefacts.
