A Brief Introduction To Describe A Close Up Magicians and Competitions

Having won a couple of competitions performing as a  I thought it might be useful to put down some of my views on magic and awards.

What is most striking about most competitions of this kind is they rarely emulate the environment in which a close up magicians london works. For example a wedding magician will normally perform for small groups of people at one time. Moving around a reception or working through the wedding breakfast. The same can be said of most corporate events and private parties.

The magic competition on the other hand is very different. Most competitions are performed in front of a large group of magicians not unlike a theatre show. The close up magicians london may work behind a table and if they are lucky there may be a camera crew delivering a live feed to a screen so audience members can watch the magic on the table top from the back of the room. There is much discussion amongst magicians as to the relevance of such competitions to work in the real world. I think it is safe to say that a good competition act will not necessarily cut it in the real world of close up magic.
